We started off the year asking the children to shine their light bright! This week we are focusing on peace! This is a rather difficult concept for children as immediately you think of conflict! However, in our search for a good relationship with God and our community we must understand that before you find peace in the world you must have peace in yourself and that peace comes from contentment and the understanding that you are trying your best. Children need to understand how peace in yourself creates time and space to quiet the world and listen for God‘s message. That quiet and still this gives us respite from the constant noise of the Internet, television, sports… and a chance to recover. The opportunity for our brain to slow and recover from the day!
We look forward to commissioning our new School Chaplains this week at our New School Year Mass. We are sure they will all 'shine their light bright' and demonstrate St Nicholas values in school.

Back to School
As the summer sunshine fades, we are delighted to welcome all our pupils, families, and staff back for the start of a brand-new school year. We hope everyone in the parish had a restful, refreshing summer break and is ready for the exciting months ahead.
This year we will be asking the children to think about ‘showing their light’. We will be asking them to work hard and for parents to support us in helping them reach high standards. We want every child to leave St Nicholas having become the best that they can be, ready for their next steps in education and life.

We have a nursery for children who are 3 or 4 and offer wrap around care for all children from Nursery to Yr 6, from 7.45am to 6pm. We would be delighted to give you a tour of the school and show you what we can offer your family.
