Confirmation
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good tidings to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour."

Confirmation is special outpouring of the Holy Spirit which is given to strengthen us to live the Christian life and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is the act of God which increases and completes what was given in Baptism, empowering us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. God gives this gift to enable us to become fully alive in His life and to witness to Jesus through what we say and do.
If you have a child at least 14 years old who would like to receive the gift of Confirmation then they will need to join GIFT Youth group. Since the purpose of Confirmation is the committed living of the Christian life, in order to receive this gift they will need to be worshipping with us on Sundays, and deepening their understanding of the faith through GIFT Youth.
